Services / IRC web chat
Side projects · For IRC networks
A web chat your IRC network will actually want to use.
Your regulars keep their favorite clients. Everyone else gets a browser tab that feels current, with your channels, your look and a straight line to your server.

What you get
- Connects straight to your IRC server over WebSocket. No gateway, bouncer or extra service to run.
- A live channel directory that newcomers can browse before they pick a nick, read from your server and skipping secret and private channels.
- Nick list with op, halfop and voice badges, a count of who’s awake, whispers and mention alerts, plus a mobile layout that works on a phone.
- Emoji picker, IRC colors and formatting, and NickServ-friendly sign-in for networks running Anope.
- A demo mode that runs a pretend network in the browser, so visitors can look around before they connect.
- Your name, colors, channels and rules. Plain static files you host anywhere, on the same site as the rest of your network.
How it goes
Tell us about your network: the server, the main channels and how you want it to feel. We match the chat to your look, wire it to your server and help with the WebSocket and TLS setup on your end. You go live when it's ready.
One of our side projects, not a water one. Most of what we build is for water treatment and field service companies. This one came from LostIRC, a small IRC network that has been idling since 2006, because the web chats we tried felt older than the network. It runs there every day.
